Women & Men Düsseldorf SS/25 Review
#DÜSSELDORF AND KWS MOST IMPORTANT HOT-SPOT & FASHION HUB FOR THE FASHION TRADE
#‘WE HAVE TO SHOW OURSELVES!’ - FOCUS ON VISIBILITY BETWEEN ALL PLAYERS IN DÜSSELDORF
Set! - It has become increasingly clear that Supreme Women&Men Düsseldorf, with its location on KWS, is an important anchor and meeting point for many protagonists in the fashion industry during the Düsseldorf Order Days. The order fair with its location represents an important added value and business hub for a content-rich business exchange, concentrated order activity and a continuous industry get-together that is maintained over all four order days. Buyers and visitors repeatedly found their way to KWS 117-119, not only to take a second or third look at the collections, but also to meet here to coordinate upcoming appointments and exchange ideas. This not only benefits the order fair itself, but also the other fashion players in the building, on the street and in Düsseldorf.
‘We are visible and approachable for the industry during DFD! We have our ear to the market, we are right in the centre of things instead of just being there,’ says Aline Müller-Schade, Managing Partner of The Supreme Group.
The four order days of Supreme Women&Men Düsseldorf from 26 July to 29 July 2024 have shown a clear picture of the industry. Many players have accepted the challenge and started the order season well prepared, perhaps also with a positive mood. The visitor numbers on the exhibition floor confirms this. Traditionally, Sunday is the strongest day. However, many high-calibre customers already found their way to the exhibition space on Friday, which continued on the following days until the trade fair closed on Monday.
Buyers were often spotted several times on our premises and at our exhibitors' stands. The hustle and bustle could be felt everywhere and people were writing at the stands until the end of the trade fair. It is clear that those who are well prepared for the season, have their figures in mind, strategically plan their content and product ranges, know their customers' needs and invest the necessary energy in the season will go through the ordering season with a positive feeling.
‘It's important to prioritise strategic action in these times. It is therefore not surprising that buyers are entering the order business in a more controlled manner, perhaps focussing on sales drivers and foregoing impulse purchases. We all don't know what the coming season will bring. But that doesn't mean that the initial order won't be supplemented with strong pieces - often here in Munich, where it's easier to make additional purchases with almost 800 collections!’ - Aline Müller- Schade
Supreme Women&Men Düsseldorf was pleased to welcome an increasing number of visitors from foreign buyers and distributors - including from the USA, Canada, Taiwan and very noticeably from the Ukraine. It is interesting to note that more Austrians and customers from southern Germany also found their way to Düsseldorf to not only view but also place orders.
The word ‘next generation’ was increasingly heard. Not only new buyers were present, but also the next generation of existing retailers. ‘We operate in Düsseldorf and Munich in markets that function quite well and can therefore represent an interesting spectrum of brands. As a team, we think conceptually and are close to the needs of our customers, which include not only exhibitors but also retailers. We provide the communication platform and working basis. Anyone who still designs and orders product ranges remotely will not work in the long term and certainly not in the short term. The industry needs dialogue and strategic discussions more than ever. It's about new impulses and their implementation.’ says Aline Müller-Schade.
The industry's big get-together on Sunday evening proved to be a genuine and important networking platform. Buyers, agencies and brands were equally enthusiastic and used the get-together for a noticeably content-rich meeting that gave the mood in the industry a positive vibe.
Düsseldorf was the start of the order season. The foundations were laid here and Supreme Women&Men Munich, with its almost 800 collections, will close the order season from 10 to 13 August at the MTC world of fashion, House 1.
